The "Brother Nature"

The Brother Nature could be called the New Brother Nature or Brother Nature V since this is the fifth boat Capt. Mike has put into service for Lake Michigan. Brand new in 1999, the boat is a 202 Pro-Line. Pro-Lines are built in Florida for the saltwater market. On Lake Michigan it cuts the waves better than many boats twice the size and furnishes all the comforts needed for a great day on the water. The boat is licensed and inspected by both the Indiana and Illinois DNRs for safety and carries ALL required gear.

The Brother Nature is just under 21 feet long but that's not a handicap, as much as an advantage. Sure, it's smaller than the cabin cruisers most charter skippers use, but it's deep and wide for safety; plus, it's much lighter and more maneuverable than the bigger boats.

That means passengers on board can expect a safe and comfortable ride and since passengers are closer to the water level they don't feel the wave-rocking action which can bring on sea-sickness in bigger vessels.

Remember, fishing trips on the Brother Nature are for smaller groups. That means more room per person, not less—as well as more fish per person. There's actually more square feet of "fishing room" on the Brother Nature than on the back deck of many cruisers. Do you want to be where the action is, or waiting your turn inside the cabin?

The New Boat

The Brother Nature is fully equipped with safety gear as well as fishing and navigation equipment - downriggers, sonar units, planer boards, rods, reels, radios, cell phone, autopilot, GPS, compass, lures and tackle.
